| Maritima de Servicios
was established in April 2 nd. 1990 as a private company dedicated
to the international maritime transport of cargos and coasting
trade.
From the beginning, the company was mainly engaged in the
sea transport of grains to Brazil, steel products and other
cargos from Brazil to the Plate, as well as in the river
and coastal trade of general and break bulk cargos employing
chartered on directly operated vessels.

Progressively, and through ‘slot
space charter’ agreements issued with international
Shipping lines, the transport of general, containerized
and heavy / project cargos from and to argentinian ports
was incorporated to the offered services covering the
Continent, Mediterranean, Far East and The Americas.
On December 1991 a representative and mutual co-operation
agreement was celebrated with a chilenian port operator
incorporating to our services the service via Pacific
ports for Argentinian export shipment. |

| During 1993 and 1994 an own regular
shipping line service, served by a chartered vessel, was
incorporated between Argentinian ports, the port of Porto
Alegre and south Brazilian ports offering a door to door
service from the shippers’ warehouse to the receivers’
warehouse and to and from any point in Argentina. Since
the year 2000 the service between the Latin American ports
is offered on a regular basis with multipurpose-type vessels.
Nowadays our group is working on the acquisition of additional
vessels allowing us to increase our current tonnage capacity.
As vessel’ operators, during the last years we have
been operating several break-bulk and multipurpose type
vessels for different shipowners worldwide.
Today our activities have been expanded worldwide because
of the support and assistance of an established network
of agents in the main ports and world commercial markets,
concentrating mainly on the transportation of commodities
and bulk cargos from and to any port of the world, covering
this service with a semi-regular fleet of chartered and
directly operated vessels.
Our brokerage department gives an immediate response to
all transport requirements facilitating the direct approach
between the cargos’ and vessels’ positions in
any port of the world. Our capability and effectivity as
brokers of vessels and cargos are given by our direct relationship
with shipowners, main producers, traders, importers, exporters,
and the experience made in the main Latin American and worldwide
ports.
Throughout our Shipping Agency department we provide full
port services for vessel and cargo operation in the main
Argentinian and the River Plate ports.
Our permanent activity in the main and highly competitive
market, and our reliability in the fulfillment of our commitments
and high quality of offered services make that year by year
international first class companies entrust us with their
transport contracts and that several shipowners appoint
our company for the management of their vessels.
